FIlm is a "Style"

At NTF, we use "film" and "video" to refer to a particular style of shooting digital visual media. We never handle physical film or video tape (if we can help it). Everything we shoot we capture and edit digitally, either with P2 or RED cameras.

When we say "film" at NTF we typically mean projects shot with an increased attention to how we manipulate the subject, focus, and light to tell a story. We shoot "film" projects at 24 FPS with a 180 degree (1/48) shutter to make the project look and feel like film. We will shoot "films" on P2 or RED cameras, depending on time and budget.

Video projects, therefore, cover "everything else". We shoot "videos" using P2 cameras, normally at 30 FPS, or 60 FPS if the project demands it.
